Backyard Birds in Toile

Light and airy as birds on the wing, toile designs are especially right for this time of year. Toile is

Sunbonnet Sue Redwork

Classic Cars in Toile
A popular summer event, classic car shows seem to pop up as a feature of every village festival and county fair from May to September. Every weekend, American roadways teem with restored antiques and customized vehicles on their way to a show, where car buffs will search out their favorites to admire. For your favorite car buff, here are several designs in toile that are sure to please the crowd.

Vintage Planes in Redwork
Designs to delight vintage plane enthusiasts, for whom a new model plane, an air show, or a visit to the air museum is a special treat. Redwork preserves the detail, but the one-color, line stitching sews up quickly and will make handsome quilt blocks or stitch easily on light fabrics like T-shirts or light jackets.

Vintage Biplane in redwork
This early plane with one or two open cockpits and two wings, one above the other, served as a training plane for World War I pilots and carried the first U.S. airmail. In the 1920s, it was also a favorite of barnstorming pilots, who flew from town to town selling rides or cavorting for air show audiences.
