Neighborhoods are "springing" to life!
And soon, friends and family will be
stopping by for coffee, tea, and a chat.
Our kitchens, the heart of our homes,
will set the scene for hours of informal
entertaining, and the designs this week
will fill them with fresh color and
tile designs feature succulent fruit and

sewing is at its finest with designs for
new and fun projects: stylish
trivets, spring coasters, and merry
magnets for the refrigerator.
Sue makes her spring debut in redwork on
seven designs, one for each day of the
week. Quick and easy redwork sewing continues
with seven days of delightful Kitty designs, too. Sure to bring out
the smiles each day, they'll make
terrific teaching towels, too.

Fruit and Tiles
In botanical-like splendor, fruit and flowers appear
together in tile designs, reminiscent of a hand-
or perhaps echoing the specimen tiles on a kitchen backsplash.
Bursting with the
fresh colors of spring, luscious blossoms and fruit are
framed in the elegance of a wrought iron
garden trellis. So pretty
on table runners and placemats, chair cushions and pillows,
aprons, towels, and more.
These kitten designs will make a
wonderful set of teaching towels, too. Young children can learn
the days of the week and tell stories about family activities
while they help dry the (unbreakable) dishes.
An easy task for children who want to learn to sew, and when mom or grandma can be
there to advise.
Special Request of the Week
Embroidery Library is always inspired by your design
suggestions, and we thank you for sending
us tons of
terrific ideas, which we regularly incorporate into the weekly design
themes. As a way
to expand on designs for specific quests, this space is dedicated to
the "Request of the Week."
Here is this week's request:
Fawn sent us a wonderful
idea for expanding Embroidery Library's "Shake,
Rattle, and Roll"
set -- add a towel topper design to match. She
wrote, "I have used the design, and the border as well,
on aprons. This towel topper design would be used to
make a set for the church bazaar."
Apron and towel sets have
been very successful items for church fundraising, Fawn
"The French Chef, Chili Pepper, and Teapot apron and
towel sets are also popular," she said.
"Thank you for making this design. I am anxious to have
it to complete this set."
With our thanks to Fawn for the terrific idea, we
present the Shake, Rattle, and Roll Towel Topper.
