As many a bride, or mother of the bride, can tell you: Those who seek "perfection" for this special day must attend to the details. Great care will go into executing a theme and color scheme to coordinate everything from dress to decorations, flowers to a guest book, cake table, centerpieces, place cards, napkins, favors....
....Whew! Thank goodness we have embroidery!
Designs this week will inspire gifts for weddings and showers; reception table skirts, centerpieces, and runners; apparel for the wedding party; accessories for the flower girl and ring bearer; and more.
Giggle over "hers and his" towel set designs; make freestanding lace baskets and bowl designs to decorate and surprise; revel in a plethora of borders that will echo the tone of everyone's decorating schemes.
Be creative with designs for cardstock, and make shower invitations, congrats cards, and reception place cards.
Whether you are planning a wedding, celebrating an anniversary, or attending someone's special day -- enjoy!!
The pack contains the square, hexagon, side piece, and handle. With those pieces, you can make a basket with a handle, a bowl, and a vase in freestanding lace. Embroider the square or hexagon design onto water-soluble stabilizer, and then the side pieces. Sew them together, soak, dry, and shape.

Sew them as singles, and sew them together to create a bowl, a basket, or a vase in freestanding lace. Embroider the square or hexagon design onto water-soluble stabilizer, and then the side pieces. Sew them together, soak, dry, and shape.
Excellent for gifts: the perfect enhancement for towels, bed linens, and table linens.
Whether sewn tone-on-tone or as subtle color accompaniment, one-color border designs are an elegant touch. Light becomes the artist, playing over the stitching and adding its own unique dimension.

Special Request of the Week Embroidery Library is always inspired by your design suggestions, and we thank you for sending us tons of terrific ideas, which we regularly incorporate into the weekly design themes. As a way to expand on designs for specific quests, this space is dedicated to the "Request of the Week." Here is this week's request:
Asiatic Lilies for a Michigan Wedding Cathy and her daughter share a love for garden flowers, and so it seemed fitting that the quilt she plans to make for her daughter's wedding will use flower designs. She wrote, "My daughter has loved helping me in the flowers from the time she could walk -- her favorite job was picking them! She loves the lilies most, because they remind her of the tropics...gentle, soft, graceful flowers."
When she learned that her request for lily designs was selected, Cathy was thrilled, and inspired to add that she could also use them "to complement the corners of her daughter's veil and ring bearer's pillow."
Asiatic lilies come in hundreds of hues, and that can be very handy when one is coordinating the colors for a wedding. Soft yellows, deep reds, blazing orange, lovely lavenders, pretty pinks -- what would a garden wedding be without them?
