For my koozie, I used the small size of the Enjoy Every Sunset design. Find the perfect design for your koozie by visiting the Summer Lovin' department.

This koozie works great on both cans and bottles!

Finished Size (when folded):

To get started, prepare the fabric for the front of the koozie. With an air-erase pen, draw a 5 1/2" wide by 5" high rectangle on the fabric. Measure and mark the center of each side by measuring and dividing by two. Draw lines connecting the marks.

Remove the template and spray a piece of medium weight cutaway stabilizer with temporary adhesive. Smooth the fabric on top and hoop the fabric and stabilizer together by aligning the marks on the hoop with the lines on the fabric.

Attach the hoop to the machine and move the hoop so that the needle is aligned with the center point on the fabric. Embroider the design.

Pin in place and sew a 1/4" seam along each side edge only. Press the back seams open with an iron and top stitch a 1/8" seam along each side of the seams of the assembled front piece.

To create the elastic button loops, cut two 4" lengths of 1/4" wide elastic. Form the elastic into loops and stitch the ends in place with a few stitches.

To prepare the inner lining and back fabric, lay the assembled front piece on top of the print fabric and the cotton batting, pin in place, and cut around the shape of the front piece. Layer the pieces together: cotton batting first, align the back piece on top with the right side facing up, then the front piece on top of the back piece right side down.

Tuck the elastic loops in between the front and back layers along the right edge of the fabric. With the raw ends facing out, the ends of the loops should extend out about 1/4". Pin in place and sew a 1/4" seam along the top, bottom, and right edge of the fabric only -- leave the left edge open for turning.

Turn the koozie right side out and press the seams. Also, turn the fabric of the opening in 1/2", press, and pin in place. Top stitch a 1/8" seam around the outer edges of the koozie.

With needle and thread, sew the buttons in place along the inner seam on the right side of the koozie (with the koozie facing right side up). Place one button about 3/4" down from the top edge of the fabric and place the other button about 3/4" up from the bottom edge of the fabric.
