New Beginnings Purse

Margaret and her Janome 11000 created this stunning purse as a gift. She writes...

"I used fabrics from the Azalea Trail collection and used the friendship square alphabet design, matching the embroidery floss to the fabric colors. The thread on the embroidered leaves was matched to the appliqued green leaf fabric so they look like part of the fabric construction (similar to brocade) when seen in person. I always add a gold butterfly on or near the embroidery, since butterflies mean rebirth and a new beginning. This one is on the pocket cuff."
