Scarlet Macaw We never cease to marvel at the colorful plumage of tropical birds, and we love to replicate their feathered splendor on our own garments. To match the exotic nature of tropical birds, these panel designs are framed in bamboo, and will be very handsome as wall hangings, or on totes and pillows. This beautiful bird is known as a Scarlet Macaw, and is found in the wild in Central and South America. As pets, they have long lives - 70 to 90 years. These beautiful birds have very strong beaks and jaws, and grow to more than 30 inches long.
Available in two sizes: 5.41"X9.44" and 3.95"X6.86"
Toco Toucan The Toco, with his great, brightly colored beak, is the largest Toucan, growing up to 25 inches. In the wild, Toucans use their enormous beaks to reach fruit hanging from tree branches. These rare birds are not good fliers; they prefer to hop from branch to branch. Charming as pets, these fascinating birds will close their eyes and purr when petted.
Mexican Yellow Nape The Mexican Yellow Nape (or Yellow-Nape Amazon Parrot) is native to the pine savannas, thorn scrubs, and woodlands of Central America and southern Mexico. About the size of a pigeon, it dines on fruits, seeds, and nuts, and lives in communal roosts in the wild. Popular as pets, this colorful little bird will readily learn to mimic people and can be taught to sing and recite verses.
Chubby Cardinal This feisty cardinal is all puff, pomp, and circumstance. But, he makes a great showing whenever he's embroidered on shirts and other garments. A brilliant songster, he is everyone's favorite in America's northern climes. And, his familiar flash of red at neighborhood bird feeders has become almost synonymous with a portrayal of a winter or holiday countryside scene.
American Singer Canary The many colors and songs of the American Singer Canary makes it a beloved pet in many homes throughout the world. Bred in the 1930s from Great Britain's Border Canary and the German Roller, this happy little bird is pleasing to both the eye and the ear.
