Christmas in July
We pass our traditions down from generation to generation because we appreciate that heritage, we enjoy surrounding ourselves with the work of artisans that have come before us, and we relish the opportunity to give of our talents and love of embroidery to others. In this week's Christmas in July designs you'll find that kind of emphasis on tradition. Here Comes Santa Claus designs, with cheeks "like roses, his nose like a cherry," are available in a variety of themes. See him sharing snacks with a four-legged friend, and delivering toys in a sleigh modeled after an antique car.

A new Dining Decor pack features antique ornaments and lush pine boughs. Use to decorate table linens, chair covers, towels, and more to prepare your home for the coming of Christmas. New Nativity quilt packs let you tell the story of Christ's birth in a warm and cozy creation that will be passed down from generation to generation. Free project instructions also demonstrate how to use the quilt blocks to make a traditional Advent wreath. Finally, no tree is complete without handmade ornaments. This week we give a modern touch to a traditional ornament. Use leaf-shaped embroidery designs, fabric scraps, and a Styrofoam ball to add your personal touch and creativity to Christmas decorations. We're pleased to bring you these very special designs, hearkening back to tradition, to inspire your creativity and help you in your preparations to "Deck the Halls." Enjoy the new designs!
You have to love him for trying new fangled things! Our traditional Santa takes a spin in a custom-made runabout sleigh. But times have changed since the introduction of the Model A, and, with the price of gas these days, he'll be back to reindeer power in no time.

Our kindly Santa takes time from his busy evening to read a bedtime story to a little girl and her teddy bear. The sweet moment depicted in this design makes it a perfect touch for a child's room.
The family pet knows a soft touch when he sees one. And, after all, he's been so good─so patient waiting for Santa's arrival─that a little polite begging is sure to win Santa's heart and a share of the milk and cookies. (Every dog owner can well imagine that plaintive look.)

This week a traditional ornament appears with a new look. Using fabric scraps, a Styrofoam ball, and ornament 'leaves' you can create one-of-a-kind ornaments for your own tree, and for the trees of friends and family. We call the designs "ornament leaves" because they are shaped like leaves so they will wrap, and thus decorate, a Styrofoam ball. With 14 designs to choose from and hundreds of thread color combinations, your designer collection will grow and grow. For free project instructions, click here!
