Mallard Collage

Mallard ducks are dabbling ducks, which means they feed mainly at the surface of the water, rather than by diving. Male mallards have a bright green head, and grey wings and belly, while the females are brown all over. This species is the ancestor of almost all the breeds of domestic ducks.
