Monkey Business

Released June 11, 2003
Monkey Business

Step right in to the monkey house and feast your eyes on a beautiful variety of monkeys and primates.  From the graceful Spider Monkey with a long, strong tail to the funny-face of the Emperor Tamarin, these designs capture the fun and freedom of many beloved animals.

A gorilla lumbers through the lowlands in a new track scene.  In a fun, lighthearted twist to the track scene designs, frolicking chimps scamper to and fro with bunches of bananas.  From the stately baboon to the monkey wrench, the variety of these designs will have you goin' bananas.

Great on jacketbacks and shirtfronts, these designs also add wonderful touches to curtains and linens, towels and tote bags.  Now get ready for some monkey business and have a barrel of fun with these new designs.

You will rarely see a spider monkey sitting on the ground.  The spider monkey has a prehensile tail - able to wrap, seize, and hold - which
comes in quite handy.  The monkey can hang from tree branches and
pluck what he needs from below.

Spider Monkey

Available in two sizes:
5.83"X8.03" and 4.82"X6.69"

Gorillas have very unique tracks.  A gorilla walks on all four legs,
but his fingers are tucked under his hands.  As he walks, he places
his feet slightly behind his hand track.  The top four ovals of a track
compose the "hand" track, and the bottom four ovals, pad and
thumb are the "rear" track.

Gorilla Track Scene

Available in two sizes:
5.24"X8.02" and 3.93"X6.02"

Gibbons are the smallest members of the ape family. They love sugary fruits, like
figs, and live in the lush rainforests of Asia.  This design features a Gibbon family
frolicking in some trees
.

Capuchin monkeys are small and graceful, weighing between 3 and 4 pounds.  Native to Central America, these monkeys are very social, and
live in groups of up to 35 members.  Although they are small, they enjoy
a wide range of food:  fruits, leaves, insects, bark, seeds, even oysters
and crabs.

Available in two sizes:
4.79"X5.82" and 3.97"X4.79"

The Emperor Tamarin is easily recognizable by its long, wispy moustache.
This species was  named after the German Emperor, Franz Joseph, who also
had a long, wispy moustache.  The Emperor Tamarin is native to Brazil, Peru,
and Bolivia.

Tamarin

Available in two sizes:
7.59"X5.81" and 6.27"X4.83"

Baboons are the largest members of the monkey family.  Their fur is long
and silky, protecting them from the hot African sun.  Baboons are highly organized:  they travel in large groups of up to 200 members.  The large
groups are divided into bands, and the bands are further divided into clans.

These playful primates live in large groups, and enjoy a variety of
fresh fruit.
