Although there are fewer of them these days, red boxes can still be seen in current and former British colonies around the world. They were made red so they would be easy to see. The ferris wheel on the right is a giant ferris wheel on the banks of the River Thames known as the "London Eye." It is the tallest ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom!

Birds Crossing Abbey Road

The Beatles recorded their last album, "Abbey Road," in 1969. The album's cover image of the Fab Four crossing Abbey Road has become iconic, and is one of the most famous and imitated in music history. The photographer was given only ten minutes to take the picture as he stood on a stepladder, and a policeman held up traffic.
