Flowers are a such a source of joy! We love receiving them, arranging them, puttering with them in pots and garden plots. And, we love recreating their wonderful shapes and colors in embroidery art!
This week, we're wild for flowers -- fabulous and funky, lacy and lovely, tropical and topiary, and fun, quick-sewing floral harbingers of spring.
Mod vases and snazzy roses, daisies, tulips, and lilies are eye-catching "favs" that will greet every day with sunny flower power.
Unique tropical flower designs feature bird of paradise, bromeliad, hibiscus, and more. Flourishing from South America to South Africa to the Pacific Islands, they're also prized as beloved houseplants in more temperate zones.
Add a little feminine charm to V-necks with freestanding lace in delicate floral designs. And, hum a happy tune with quick-sewing Dollar Delight spring flowers. Each only $1.
Go wild with flowers, and enjoy the designs this week.
Tropical designs are a delight at any time of year, sewn as placemats, on towels, garments, and framed art. Their bright colors and graceful shapes combine beautifully for embroidered quilt features and more.

Two Special Requests of the Week Embroidery Library is always inspired by your design suggestions, and we thank you for sending us tons of terrific ideas, which we regularly incorporate into the weekly design themes. As a way to expand on designs for specific quests, this space is dedicated to the "Request of the Week." Here are two requests this week:
One of this week's requests features a humorous twist, which we took to heart, because so many of us can relate to this little quote. Karen from Australia wrote, I have a little flower pot lady with the inscription 'Give me Patience, but Please Hurry!' My sister has always admired it because she liked the little quote on it, and I would like it, too." Thank you, Karen for this clever idea. For those who find patience is a virtue that is often difficult to practice, this is the perfect design for a T-shirt, a gardening tote, a grocery bag, wall art, and more.
Handbell Circle Kathy belongs to a handbell choir in her church. The choir's "uniform" shirts and the handbell design they have been using are seven years old now, and she would like to refresh them, especially for a big celebration at her church this spring. "My bell choir is playing a piece we had commissioned especially for this event," she said. "We need something fresh, new, and exciting. For this shirt project, the size I need would be about 3 x 3. I can add the choir name myself." The bells are surely ringing for Kathy's choir, and all the handbell musicians in the land.
