More than one thousand versions of the "Cinderella" story exist. The earliest version is 1200 years old, from China. Yeh-shen, the story's heroine, is aided by a magical fish (instead of a fairy godmother), and instead of a glass slipper, Yeh-shen wears a golden shoe. This collage features a glass slipper, pumpkin, and clock that is just about to strike midnight.
