Half the fun of Western stitching is the wild fabrics you can use! From denim and canvas to faux suede and corduroy, certain textiles combined with your favorite western design are just the thing to create some serious cowboy style. Click on the images below to learn about embroidering on these fabrics.
Denim is a classic for a reason - it's easygoing and looks good with everything. It's easy to embroider, too!	Faux suede is cleverly made to look and feel like real leather, but it's much easier to stitch on.	Burlap is great for creating a rough and primitive look, and it holds solid stitched embroidery designs beautifully!

Corduroy is practical and warm, and it gives instant character to clothing and more. Learn to make the "cords" and embroidery look their best together!	Canvas can lend a feel of rugged simplicity to your creations, and this heavy cotton fabric is wonderfully easy to embroider on.	None of the new designs on this page is suitable for embroidering on leather - choose sheer, toile, redwork, or trapunto designs; avoid heavy fills and satin stitch.
