The layered look of Central American mola cloth gets its embroidery debut with bright, lively colors. Japanese Ikebana flower arranging and ancient Greek statues round out this worldly collection.

Norwegian Rosemaling

The time-honored Scandinavian art of rosemaling, or "flower painting," features floral motifs in bright, gentle colors, accented by bold flourishes and delicate scrolls. Our first rosemaling designs have been so well-loved over time that we're introducing a new collection. Stitch them on home decor items, tote bags, and even clothing to celebrate the beauty of this Norwegian folk art.

The feature design below will make a wonderful centerpiece for Scandinavian stitching.

Russian Khokhloma

Khokhloma is a style of Russian wood painting that's become recognized for its beauty around
the globe. A floral pattern characterized by red and metallic-looking gold colors, it's traditionally painted on a black background (try embroidering on black fabric for that authentic look).
This design, commonly featured on tableware, is a worldly choice for the kitchen. Stitch it on
home decor items and accessories, too!

Panamanian/Colombian Kuna Art

The indigenous Kuna people of Panama and Colombia developed this textile art that's still worn daily as a symbol of cultural pride. The mola look comes from traditional body painting, but the textile form is made by stitching together several layers of cloth and then cutting parts of each layer away. No applique is needed for these designs -- just embroider to liven up your life with these bold designs.

Bring your crafting a touch of the tropics with this tropical bird inspired by mola textiles.
