Where are the Color Change Sheets?
For every design we provide a color change sheet. This sheet lists the colors that we used to stitch the design. You can follow the color change sheet exactly, or use it as a guide and select colors that you prefer -- the choice is yours. Links to color change sheets are located near the design on the website:
After you purchase a design, the links to the color change sheets are also conveniently added to your order history.
A color change sheet includes excellent information. Scroll down the page to see the highlighted features you'll find on each color change sheet.
At the top of the color change sheet, you'll find a box full of product information:
Information such as product ID, size, stitch count, total number of thread changes and colors used, the type of thread that was used, plus a link to the free Thread Exchange so you can find equivalent thread numbers to the thread brand you use.
If the product has special instructions, you'll find a link in the Product Comments section.
There are customizable tools and buttons on the color change sheet that you can use to view, print, and download the color change sheet:
A friendly layout including a 'Show Me' section with check boxes so you can control what information you see on the color change sheet.
A 'Download PDF' button so you can save an electronic copy of the color change sheet on your computer.
A 'Download TXT File' button so you can change colors using that cool trick in Embird.
A 'Print' button that makes it even easier to print the color information. Use the check boxes to hide or show any color information you want before printing the color change sheet.
The color change section shows the number of color changes as well as the unique colors used for each design:
The 'Color / Thread Changes' section lists the color changes you'll follow to stitch out the design. Thread your machine with the color recommended in CC1 (color change 1). Then, when your machine stops for a thread/color change, thread your machine with the color recommended in CC2. Continue until the design is complete. You can hide this section by unchecking the 'Color Change Information' check box at the top of the color change sheet.
The 'Unique Colors Used' section displays all of the unique thread colors that are used in the design. You can hide this section by unchecking the 'Unique Colors' check box at the top of the color change sheet.
Color swatches are provided in both sections that show an example of the colors used in that design. You can use these thread swatches to match up colors of the thread brand you use. To hide these color swatches, uncheck the 'Color Swatches' check box at the top of the color change sheet.
At the bottom of the color change sheet, you'll find the design image. To hide this image, uncheck the 'Design Image(s)' check box at the top of the color change sheet. To display a smaller image, check the Reduced-size Image check box.
