How long are designs available for downloading?

Computers are temperamental creatures, and we know that accidents happen. That's why we keep your order history preserved for you. Once you buy a design, that design remains in your order history indefinitely. If your computer crashes, or you accidentally delete a design or pack, you can return to your order history and download it again, for free, any time, day or night. There's no expiration time, no limit to the number of times that you can download a design or pack.

Once a year we review the entire design collection and remove designs. We remove them for a variety of reasons -- they may have dropped below our quality standards, or they may be too "dated," or they may not fit with the collection any longer.

When we remove a design or pack from the site, you will no longer be able to purchase it. If you've purchased a design or pack, and we remove it from the website, you'll see record of your purchase in your order history, but you won't be able to download it again, nor access the color change sheet. We do not send out notifications when designs are removed from the site. There are no exceptions to this policy.

To prevent against "losing" designs from your order history, follow these practices:

**Download designs or packs soon after purchasing them;

**Download or print the color change sheet. Printing takes time, paper, and ink,
  so downloading the color change sheets is a good alternative. Simply go to a
  color change sheet, click "Download PDF" or "Download TXT File" and save
  the sheet as a PDF or TXT file, whichever you prefer. Name the sheet the same
  the design's name, and store both together. That way you'll always have the two
  together in the same place;

**Back up your embroidery designs and color change sheets regularly.

If you follow the above practices, it is unlikely that you'll ever need to download a design that has been removed from the website. However, if you have purchased a design within the past year, and it has been removed from the website, send an email to stitch@emblibrary.com. Include your order number and the name of the design, and we'll issue you a gift certificate for that design.
