Downloading on a Mac

More and more embroiderers are using Apple products, which results in this question: Can I download designs with/on a Mac?

Yes, you sure can. Most Mac/Apple computers have Safari as a built-in web browser, and downloading with Safari is very straightforward. You can see how it's done by referencing the HELP topic How to Download with Safari.

Downloading is the easy part - but other steps are opening and uploading. Many embroiderers like to open designs on their computers, and the types of Mac-based embroidery software programs are limited. Some machines (like the Singer Futura models) run off of a computer, and the Futura software at the time of this writing isn't Mac-compatible.

Check with your software manufacturer or machine dealer to see if you need to know anything about your software or machine, and an Apple/Mac.
