How do I download designs?

"Downloading" refers to the act of transferring a file from a server (website) to your computer. It is a simple transfer of information that takes only a few seconds. You don't need any special software to download -- you only need a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, AOL, MSN, etc.). Using the instructions below, you can easily download any design to your computer.

Click on the Unzipped or Zipped buttons.

Your web browser will ask you if you want to Open the file or Save the file. Choose to Save the file.

Your browser will now ask you where you want to save the file, and what you want to name it. You can save it to a floppy disk by clicking the 3 1/2 floppy (A:) drive.

Or, you can save it to your desktop by clicking the Desktop option.

Or, you can save it to a specific folder by clicking that option.

You can either keep the same name that we have given the design, or you can name the design something else.

Then, click Save.

That is exactly how you download a design. Now you can open the design with embroidery software, or upload it to your machine via floppy disk, CD, flash/thumb drive, embroidery card, or direct transfer through USB cable or wireless -- that depends on how your machine receives designs.
