How do I download designs?

"Downloading" refers to the act of transferring a file from a server (website) to your computer. It is a simple transfer of information that takes only a few seconds. You don't need any special software to download -- you only need a web browser. For instructions for downloading with Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Chrome, Safari, or Firefox, visit the HELP page. General downloading instructions are below.

Sign in to www.emblibrary.com and click the "Order History" tab. You'll find your order number(s) listed there. Click on a link to the order that you wish to download. There you'll find a list of the designs and packs that you ordered, along with downloading buttons.

There are two columns; one column is called "Download Product" and that column contains buttons to download from the website. Another column says "Email Product;" use the buttons in that column to have the designs emailed to you.

When downloading from the website, work with the buttons in the "Download Product" column:

Click on the 'Unzipped' or 'Zipped' buttons.

Your web browser will ask you if you want to 'Open' the file or 'Save' the file. Choose to 'Save' the file.

Your browser will now ask you where you want to save the file, and what you want to name it. You can save it to a floppy disk by clicking the '3 1/2 floppy (A:)' drive.

Or, you can save it to your desktop by clicking the 'Desktop' option.

Or, you can save it to a specific folder by clicking that option.

You can either keep the same name that we have given the design, or you can name the design something else.

Then, click 'Save.'

Now you can open the design with embroidery software (if you have software installed on your computer) or put it on a floppy disk, cd, flash/thumb drive, embroidery card, or direct transfer through USB cable or wireless (that depends on how your machine receives designs).

Questions? Send an email to stitch@emblibrary.com and let us know which browser and version you're using.
