Error Messages in Janome
Customizer
|
Janome Customizer is a program that many
embroiderers use to open and view designs, as well as write designs to
an ATA card for Janome machines.
When working with designs that are larger than what Janome Customizer
can accept, the program will issue a message that reads: There is an
error in the file/quit operation.
Check the size that your machine can stitch:
Janome MB4
240 x 200 mm / 9.4 x 7.9 inches
Janome 11000
200 x 200 mm / 7.9 x 7.9 inches**
Janome 350, 10001, 10000 140 x 200 mm / 5.5 x 7.9 inches
**(Some Janome 11000 machines have a Macro Hoop that can stitch a
design that is 200 x 280 mm. However, this hoop requires that designs be
split. The largest design that a Janome 11000 can read is 200 x 200 mm.)
Compare the size of the design to the size that your machine can stitch.
Is the design larger than what your machine can stitch? If so, you will
need to either split the design and stitch it in multiple hoopings, or
get a smaller size of the design.
If a smaller size is available, we will gladly switch it for you at no
charge. Send an email to
stitch@emblibrary.com. Include:
**Your order number
**The type of machine you have
**The name of the design
Include
all of this information.
Some older versions of Janome Customizer 11000 have a bug that will not
allow you to open a design that is larger than 140 mm wide. If you have
a Janome 11000, and are working with a design that is 200 x 200 mm or
smaller, but are getting the "error in file/quit operation" message,
then you will need to import the design into Customizer, rather than
open it. Follow
these steps: |
|
Open Customizing and set the hoop to the SQ
hoop. |
 |
Click the "import" tool (it's the arrow next
to the sunflower on the toolbar).
Select "stitch file." |
 |
|
Direct the program to the design, highlight
the embroidery file, and click "open." |
