The Artista Software Gives a C/D Grade to the Designs. Why?
The Bernina Artista software is excellent, but it assigns a low "grade" to any designs that haven't been created with that particular software. When you open an Embroidery Library design with the Artista software, you'll get a message that warns you that there are limits to how much the design can be scaled, and assigns the design a C or D grade. This grade has nothing to do with the quality of the design. The Artista software assigns grades to a design based on how well the Artista software will be able to resize and edit the design. If the Artista software realizes that it will do a poor job editing and resizing, it will assign the design a lower grade. The Artista software can do a great job editing and resizing designs that have been created with its own brand of software. We use a more sophisticated software program to digitize the embroidery designs.
