-
1/4 yard

-
1/4 yard
of lace fabric
-
1/4 yard
of tulle or bridal netting

-
A yard

Instructions:
Sew out the
embroidery design on the solid fabric.
Cut out the embroidery design,
leaving about 1/4" to 3/8"
around the perimeter of the design.
This will be your seam allowance. |
Use the cut-out design as a pattern piece to
cut out the lace and net pieces. |
Stack the pieces: First the
embroidered fabric (right side up), then the
lace piece, then the net on the top.
Stitch the pieces together along the very
edge of the embroidery leaving a 2" to 3"
opening for turning and stuffing. |
Carefully turn the heart right side out.
Be gentle and patient. The embroidered
fabric is much stiffer than the net and
lace. I scrunched the embroidered side
to make it pliable enough to turn. |
Fill the heart with scented potpourri and
stitch the opening together to close. |
Wrap with a ribbon bow to dress it up. |
