This little gem is just the right size for your ID, a credit card, and a little cash. With just enough space for the bare essentials, it fits in virtually any pocket for the days when you want to travel light. And, teamed with a matching handbag, it's a smart way to way to carry your business cards, too.

It also makes a clever "wrapping"  when you want to give a loved one a gift card to their favorite store!

Instructions:

From the striped fabric, cut 2 rectangles that are 4" by 4 1/2" and one rectangle that is 4 1/2" by 5 1/2".  From the solid fabric, cut one rectangle that is 4 1/2" by 5 1/2".  From the Interfacing, cut 2 rectangles that are 2" by 3 1/2".

On the right side of the solid colored piece, mark a 3 1/2" by 4 1/2" rectangle, centered in the piece. Sew the embroidery in the bottom half of the marked rectangle.

On the wrong side of the embroidered piece, use the fusible webbing to fuse the interfacing to the fabric. The two pieces of interfacing should be centered on the rectangle as shown, with a 1/4" space between the pieces.

Lay the striped (4 1/2" by 5 1/2") rectangle right side up. Fold the other two rectangles in half, making folded pieces that are 2 3/4" by 4 1/2". Lay the folded pieces at each end of the larger rectangle. The folds should be toward the inside of the larger rectangle.

Lay the solid-colored rectangle with the right side down on top of the striped pieces.

Stitch the layers together about 1/8" from the edge of the interfacing pieces.  Leave one of the smaller ends open for turning.

Turn the unit right side out, and press. Close the opening and topstitch all around, close to the outer edge of the credit card holder.
