Begin by making the pockets for the bag. Draw a 7" square on the denim fabric.

A template is a printout of a design, and it's an excellent tool to plan where to stitch.

Print a template of the design from your embroidery software.
If you do not have embroidery software, Wilcom's TrueSizer is
a free program to use.

Arrange the template in the center of the square.

Mark the center point of the design, as well as the vertical and horizontal axis lines.

Hoop the denim with one piece of cutaway stabilizer, lining up the marks on the fabric with the marks on the hoop.

Attach the hoop to the machine and load the embroidery design.

Move the hoop so the needle is right over the center point.

Embroider the design. A size 11 or 75/11 sharp sewing needle is a fine choice when embroidering on denim.

The center of the rectangle is the bottom of the bag.

Place the embroidered pockets 5" apart with the bottoms facing each other, centered between the sides of the fabric.

Pin the pockets in place.
