You might not know that I'm originally from California. My parents moved to icy, frosty, snowy, frozen Minnesota before I was old enough to argue with them. But I've really fallen in love with this state, especially its autumn season. The trees really put on a show of magnificent colors - rust, orange, scarlet, and gold. The occasional pine or evergreen tree adds a nice contrast to the autumn palette.

As summer winds down, I look forward to Minnesota's changing color palette. Long walks in the woods, scuffling through fallen leaves, breathing in the cool, crisp air - that's how I plan to spend many a day in the next several weeks.
